Hong Kong

My hometown, and where I got my start. I started reporting for the youth magazine of the South China Morning Post when I was 15, making videos, pitching articles and writing columns. I spent the summer of 2020 reporting on-air for Television Broadcasts Limited. I covered the pro-democracy protests, the rollout of the National Security Law, and changes to the rule of law from the High Court and the Legislative Council.

New Haven

I majored in Political Science at Yale, and spent all four years working for the Yale Daily News. I was a city desk reporter, the video desk editor, and finally the paper's first Multimedia Managing Editor. I oversaw five desks on all kinds of visual content, while editing print pieces and weighing in on paper-wide editorial decisions. I also reported for the New Haven Independent on local politics, culture, and business.
